2023 VINTAGE
The 2023 cintage presented very favourable conditions for good ripeness of the grapes.
It is a vintage that started with a warm spring, but then the temperature rose slowly, which was very beneficial to generate a slow ripening, offering high aromatic intensity, high level of concentration and good phenolic maturity.
This vintage of great potential achieves a perfect expression of the Chilean terroir, the identity of the varieties with good typicity in its aromas, with a fine and elegant palate, with a high level of concentration, and with very good acidity and freshness.
2023, a vintage with great balance between structure and elegance, delivers complex and fresh wines with good ageing potential.

MATURING
80% of the wine is matured in French oak barrels, 30% new barrels and 70% 1-to-2-year old barrels, for ten months before bottling.
GRAPE VARIETY
This wine is made entirely from the same grape variety even though the requirement under Chilean law is only 75%. Carmenere gives rich and slightly tannic wines with red fruit and liquorice flavours. Smooth and creamy, Carmenere wines soon reach their peak.
TASTING NOTES
Fresh and powerful - Black fruits - Pepper
Aspect
Violet with a purple rim.
Nose
A very intense, fruity nose with abundant black fruit aromas (blueberry, plum, pomegranate, wild berries) and notes of violet, accompanied by spicy notes of Sichuan pepper and clove mingled with hints of tobacco and vanilla imparted by ageing in French oak barrels.
Palate
Rich and generous on the palate, underscored by wonderful freshness and well-balanced acidity. The mid-palate suggests a velvety wine, with smooth and refined tannins. Black fruit and spicy aromas follow through to the finish.
